Nursery

I've still been working on the nursery, slowly but surely its coming together. Here are some pictures.

I finished her name, you can't tell but there is fun bling bling on the letters. :-)

Here is the tree with the finished bird houses I painted. I'm just waiting to find a cute bird so I can put it in the pink bird house. I also moved the purple bird house down a bit, it looked too high.:-)

Here's a picture, Clay I think you'll like this one I know Clint does.
These are a couple gifts we received from a shower. Too cute!

I also was able to get a couple of the burp cloths I made embroidered by my friend Katie.
I love the way they came out, great job Katie!!! I really like the piggy one!

29 Weeks

Things are going good. I went to the doctor this past week and Taylor is weighing around 3lbs 10 oz which is a little above average for 29 almost 30 weeks. Doctor also said after doing the growth measurements that the expected due date is a couple days early its October 30 instead of November 3rd, but we will see, hopefully everything continues to go good. I think she'll come mid October, hopefully not earlier. Here's a picture. It's not the best, so I'll post more soon.

Baby Shower

This past weekend friends and family threw Clint and I a baby shower in Marion. My friend Stephanie flew into town for the shower and to hang out. It worked out perfect since Clint was at the LaVernia cookoff all weekend, Stephanie and I just hung out at the house and watched movies.  Saturday she took some pictures of my growing belly at  28 weeks. She also took pictures of the shower on Sunday. The pictures are posted above.

Bed Rest

I am offically on bed rest. Last week we had a scare but everything is fine, I just have to take it easy. So  no work for me until further notice from the doc. She wants me to relax and not do too much. As for me, I'm pretty bored, I'm used to doing all kinds of stuff so taking it easy is not fun. Oh well, as long as she stays in my belly for as long as possible and she is healthy is all I'm concerned with. So, if any of yall are bored give me a call :-)

The Baby's Room

This past week I've been working on the baby's room so things can kind of  be done before I go back to work. I'm doing an Owl/ birds theme. My parents painted the room a sage green color and bought us the crib and dresser. Here are some pictures.

                                                       These are the sheets.

My mom and I sewed the bedskirt and I still need to make the curtains.

I had a lady come paint a really cute tree on the wall and an owl by the crib.

I'm working on painting some bird houses to put on the tree as well as painting letters to put on another wall. I still need to decroate those too.

I also made some cute pictures out of scrapebooking paper and stamps. I never found pictures of exactly what I was looking for at the stores so since I had the time I decided to be creative. Here are the three pictures I made. I just need to paint the frames for them.

It's  still a work in progress but I really like how things have turned out so far.

Here's a picture of the belly for week 26, sorry I'm a bit behind.

Clay Comes to Visit!

On Friday the weekend of July 30th,  Clay came into town to make a quick visit to drop off lots of baby stuff and make a quick trip to the deer lease. Julie and Clay loaded their van, (well I'm sure Clay loaded the van but Julie had to tell him what to pack:-) . It was Christmas in July! We are truly thankful of all the stuff they gave us. We will definitely be able to use it all. Here are just a couple of pictures of the stuff they gave us, I would of been posting pictures for days of all the goodies they gave us.

They also gave us: a travel stroller, car seat bases, car seat, bumbo with the tray, breast pump, clothes, a neat thing for the swimming pool, a wooden bassinet, diapers, boppy with different covers, another boppy pillow thing, and much more.

Kara and Brad also gave us a neat jogging stroller so I can take Taylor jogging, which I love to do and haven't done in awhile :-)
