Taylor

I haven't kept up with this blog the past couple of months like I had wanted to. I'm going to try very hard to keep up with it. I really want Taylor to have something she can look back at.

Here are some things I want to remember about her at this age. (2 1/2 - 2 years 10 months)

She talks so much! She will make up stories and talk and talk and talk. She is a chatter box. She will randomly tell you  "she loves you" which is so sweet. It just melts my heart. Many times if I ask her why she did something her reply is " because I needed to " or  "because I had to". She replies a lot with  "of course". The other day I asked her why that smells and she said "because it smells that way".

She loves to dress up in my shoes and clothes and walk around the house. She will drive her car around and say she is going to work. She loves her babies and is constantly wrapping them up and rocking them. She puts her babies in time out all the time. I wonder where she gets this from. She is very stubborn and wants to do things her way.:-)However she can be so sweet and loving. She is also bossy. She loves to tell her friend James Allen what to do. Anytime we go somewhere with him she tells him, "No James! like this " or "James don't do that ". At school the teacher says she is always trying to make others feel better and pats them. She always says she want to "pet me" or that she wants to pet her babies. She LOVEs the babies/younger kids at school. She has become very gentle with them. It used to be her hugging them way to tight. She still get really excited to play and be around other kids. She just loves playing with kids and loves going to school. She is currently going to Mother's Day Out on Tuesday and Thursday from 8- 2:30.

She does not like to take naps but if she is tired she will tell you and go lay down in her bed. I'm lucky if she naps about twice a week. We have a quiet time where she will go play in her room and sometimes falls asleep.

She loves asparagus, the other day she asked for a snack and said she wanted it. She loves cheese and for the last week she has really been doing good with her pooping issues. :-) For those of you who don't know Taylor has had constipation issues for the last 2 years. She is either constipated or pooping like crazy.:-) Hopefully she is starting to grow out of it. We will see but she has been great the last couple of weeks. Its basically high fiber everything. :-)

She loves being outside. Loves our dog Ruger. She loves to dance and dances all the time. She loves weddings because of the dancing. In May we went to Houston for a wedding and Taylor said,
" Mommy I want to get married." I wanted to cry:-)

Anytime she hears music she starts to dance.

She really eats all kinds of food. She is not that picky. She eats what we eat. She loves all kinds of fruit and is really good about her vegetables. She mainly likes cooked veggies but loves ranch like her daddy with fresh veggies. She either wants ranch or honey mustard. She loves chicken and steak. She likes to eat salads too.

She just started to get into watching cartoons. Her favorite at the moment is Peppa Pig and Team Umizoomi. She will watch a little in the morning and then a little while I'm cooking dinner. If it was up to her she would probably watch TV all day. I think its just so new to her.

March & April

I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. Things have been pretty crazy around here. I started a new sewing/embroidery business in late February and any free time I get I'm trying to complete orders or make something cute for Taylor. Taylor is getting bigger and bigger and becoming a big girl. :-) Here are some things that have happened in the last couple of months.

March

Taylor and I took our first coast trip with some friends of mine and their kids. Taylor had a blast. We went to the State Aquarium in Corpus one day and then ventured out to the beach but it was a bit cold. Taylor of course LOVED it. She was the only one who would get in the ice cold water while the other two boys watched her.

April
Easter came and went as usual. We had a busy time as always trying to see all our families. This year we were able to go to Brady to visit my side of the family Friday and Saturday. Taylor had a blast playing with her cousin Heidi. We were able to have an Easter egg hunt for the kids and enjoyed seeing everyone.

Saturday evening we drove back to San Antonio so we could celebrate Easter Sunday with mass and visit Clint's side of the family. Sunday after mass there was an Easter egg hunt.

Then another hunt at grandmas which didn't last long because she wanted to swing  instead of hunting for eggs.

And last but not least a hunt at Uncle Clyde and Aunt Jan's house.

Taylor was worn out but had lots of fun.

Here is a picture of her and the Easter Bunny. Taylor matched the Easter Bunny with the outfit I made her. :-)

It was busy but we had a lot of fun.

Rodeo Pics & First Dental Cleaning

So it has been way to long since my last post. Things have been pretty busy around here. Since the last post we took Taylor to the Rodeo which she loved. We went multiple times and each time was a little different so here are pictures from all of the Rodeo adventures. Taylor is getting so big. She is a little sponge.

Taylor just loved all the animals in the petting zoo.

In March Taylor went to the Dentist to get her first cleaning. Six months ago we went to the dentist and the Doc just looked at her teeth and she looked around. This time she was able to get her teeth cleaned. She did so good! She sat like a big girl and let the dental hygienist clean her teeth.
